Dr. ir. Stefan Ruyters , Flanders Biobased Valley
Dr. ir. Stefan Ruyters graduated as master in Bioscience Engineering (KU Leuven, Belgium) in 2006 and obtained a PhD in Bioscience Engineering (Environmental Sciences) in 2010. He has been active as post-doc in environmental microbiology, microbial ecology, ecotoxicology and industrial biotechnology for 4 years at the KU Leuven.
From January 2015 he holds a position as project manager and business developer at Flanders Biobased Valley, an industrial cluster organization specializing in the biobased economy. He is currently coordinating the SuperBIO project (H2020) which aims to build new value chains in the biobased economy together with EU businesses and to support companies in their innovation activities.
