John Bell, Director Bioeconomy, European Commissions DG Research & Innovation, invited 27 projects with a H2020 or BBI grant dealing with communication in the Bioeconomy field for a mutual learning workshop in Brussels on 28 March 2018. The aim of the workshop was to exchange best practices, to initiate long-term proactive collaboration and reinforce existing synergies between the EC funded projects with the objective of maximizing opportunities and increasing impact, to define common key messages and contents to be used in communication on bioeconomy and to define a joint consolidated action plan of communication activities to promote bioeconomy in view of the update of the Bioeconomy Strategy. Among the invited projects were the WUR coordinated SIM4NEXUS (Floor Brouwer) and PLATFORM of Bioeconomy ERA-NET Actions (Christine Bunthof), along with many projects with WUR participation such as BLOOM and BIOVOICES.
